If that was the suicide rate before the pandemic, I can't imagine what it is now. I tried to not pressure my kids, even though at times I thought they could do better. I did try to encourage, but I could see they were already pressuring themselves so I backed off. LinkedIn can be very cringey with the oversharing.
It's so hard to know the right balance — it sounds like you watched them closely to know how to step in. I do want my little guy to know that he doesn't need to be good at something right away to develop a skill and a passion for it, but I don't want to strap him down with the weight of that passion as his reason for being a live.
